What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

I'm back with another finished quilt from the book Southwest Modern by Kristi Schroeder. This is my fifth quilt from the book: Rustic, Marfa Lights, Dunes and Cielo were the other four. I think this is probably going to be my last though - a few of the other quilts in the book are paper-pieced and I'm not a huge fan.

Portales Mini was a very quick finish and exactly what I needed. But it was also my first try at half-rectangle triangles which was kind of fun!

The week between Christmas and New Year's Day is probably my favourite time of the year. I'm on vacation and after the crazy busy week leading up to the Holidays, it's amazing to be able to just relax with no commitments or deadlines.

I've been really productive in the sewing room lately. Things are still pretty busy at work as well, but I'm very determined to spend as much time as I can sewing in the evenings and on weekends.
